It' a interesting story to know as how and when the origin of the prathisthan took place. For that, we have to go back and know something about the chitpawan(Shandilya) Joshi Kulvruttant Samiti, the parent organization of Maharshi Shandilya Pratishthan.
On 20th January,1974 the "samiti" was formed under the presidentship of Shri.G.N.Joshi(Abasaheb Joshi-Tokekar).There were four other members in it,Among them Shri.P.K.Joshee was appointed as the secretary. After working hard, continuously for 7-8 years, the "Samiti" published a voluminous book, namely "Chittapawan Joshi Kulvruttant" of about 1500 pages.
Many Members of the Joshi family donated for the prinintg expenses.I must mention here, that a remarkable donation of one lakh rupees was given in 1983 by Shri.Vitthalrao Joshi, the mentor of Shri Baba Maharaj Sahasrabuddhe memorial committee,Pune.
The publication of the "Joshi Kulvruttant" took place in a grand ceremony,at the hand of of Pandit Vidyadhar Gokhale under the presidentship of Pt.Mahadeoshastri Joshi on 28th March,1982.Afterwards,the "Kulvruttant Samiti" was desolved leaving about Rs. Fourty Thousand in balance.
